Applications for entry to the school in September 2017 for the 2017/2018 academic year

Year 7 (First Form)

Please note that the Directors of the Academy Trust have agreed to increase the Year 7 published admission number (PAN) from 120 pupils to 124 pupils. This means that there will be 31 places in ability band 1, 62 places in ability band 2 and 31 places in ability band 3. The increase in the number of places available applies to Year 7 applications for entry in September 2017 and applications to Year 7 in future years. 

Closing date for music application form – Friday 30/9/16, 5.00 pm

Open evenings (all applicants) – Thursday 22/9/16 and Tuesday 27/9/16 at 4.30 pm, 5.30 pm & 6.30 pm

Music aptitude test (all music applicants) – During the week commencing Monday 10/10/16

Closing date for applications – Friday 21/10/16, 5.00 pm

Ability banding test – Monday 31/10/16

Open evenings (external applicants)– Thursday 6/10/16 and Tuesday 18/10/16, 5.30 pm

Open evenings (internal applicants) – Tuesday 11/10/16, 4.00 pm

Closing date for applications – Friday 4/11/16, 5.00 pm

Applications for entry to the school in September 2018 for the 2018/2019 academic year 

Following a period of public consultation, held 1 November to 20 December 2016, the Directors of the Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School Academy Trust  have determined the admission arrangements for the 2018/19 academic year of entry in accordance with Regulation 17 of the School Admissions Regulations 2012.  The process of consultation and determination was carried out in accordance with the Admissions Code and associated regulations.

In accordance with Regulation 21 of the Regulations and Section 88 of the SSFA 1998, any person or body who considered that any maintained school or Academy's arrangements are unlawful, or not compliant with the Code or relevant law relating to admissions, can make an objection to the School Adjudicator.
