A-Level Results 2015

Results just published reveal another year of outstanding success for A-Level students here at the Vaughan, with the school retaining its title as The Times top state comprehensive in their A-Level League Tables - for the third year running.

Headmaster, Mr Stubbings, said:

‘I am delighted that our wonderful staff and pupils have once again produced the goods: not only are the results top class, but we are bucking national trends and going from strength to strength.’

One student, Thomas King, did exceptionally well, achieving five A* grades in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Further Mathematics. He said:

‘I am overjoyed with the results and am really looking forward to joining Oxford in October where I will be reading Medicine. I can’t wait!’

Our A-Level students have achieved double the national average of grades at A*, with 87.1% receiving grades marked A* - B. The last three years have produced the best results in the School’s one hundred year history; this year twelve pupils have obtained a place at Oxbridge.

Head Girl, Harriet Lea, said:

‘I am really pleased I got my place at Cambridge to study History. It’s been such a great two years and I’ll really miss everyone at the Vaughan.’
