Old Vaughanian builds school in South Africa
In April we shared the news that Matthew Drewitt (Old Vaughanian 2006 - 2013) had won a University architecture project to build a school in Limpopo, South Africa.
The project was a great success; Thanks to your generous donations and support, Matthew and his team of fellow second year undergraduates not only designed the pre-school building using locally available materials and construction methods, but were able to travel out to Limpopo to help with the construction. The project has since been featured on BBC News at 6 O’clock, the prestigious Architects' Journal and the front cover of the African Design Magazine.
We would like to congratulate Matthew on his success, and thank you all for supporting Matthew in this tremendous achievement.
