World Challenge: Project Phase
This summer ten pupils from Cardinal Vaughan will heading to Golfito in southern Costa Rica for the project phase of their World Challenge expedition. Golfito is home to approximately forty families and the Challengers will be painting their local school, improving the green areas and building a playground for the 57 pupils who attend the school.
This will be the second season that a World Challenge team is working with this community, and while the school has had some recent investment from the government, there is still work which needs doing. This includes:
- painting the dining room
- painting the classrooms
- improvement of the green areas in the school
- building a playground for the school (continuation of a longterm
How can you help? The school always appreciates pencils, paper, notebooks and sports equipment. A laptop would also be much appreciated!
