Sixth Form Leavers Mass 2024

This morning, our Upper Sixth Formers attended their ceremonial Leavers Mass service before the start of the public examination period.

A Vaughan tradition, the Mass was led by School Chaplain, Monsignor Roger Reader. It included readings from Head Boy Alistair L and Head Girl Keoni M and provided an opportunity for pupils to reflect on their journey through the school before our Deputy Head Prefects, Dorothy F, Oscar D, Francesca K, and Peter K offered bidding prayers.

Mr Stubbings, Headmaster, and Ms Whelan, Associate Head and Head of the Upper School, both gave addresses and implored pupils to keep hold of the strong values that have surrounded them throughout their time at the school and to cherish their lifelong place in the Vaughan community.

The Mass was also attended by a number of parents, also providing them with an opportunity to reflect on their association with the Vaughan. One parent commented: "the Vaughan is an exceptional school which instils strong values and where our children form connections for life."

We are fortunate to have a wonderful group of dedicated pupil altar servers here at Cardinal Vaughan. Their commitment is commendable, and we appreciate their service to the school community. Thank you to Third Form altar servers Arthur B and Simao M, as well as Sixth Former Henry W, for whom this was his last service

Wishing all our Upper Sixth all the very best for the coming weeks.
